 MARY MULLINEUX 

Biography

 

Mary Mullineux (1875-1965), painter, printmaker, and educator was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania in 1875.  Mullineux became known for her modernist woodblock prints as well as floral subjects, figure scenes, and stylized designs. She was also a painter and art educator. 

She studied on a fellowship at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and was a member of the Philadelphia Press Club, the Plastic Club, and a founding member of the American Color Print Society.   In Provincetown she studied with white-line woodblock master Blanche Lazzell.
